DARKNESS

As I lay here in darkness,
I'm stunned by the noise of silence.

There is so little peace in the world;
I treasure these moments.

The blackness encompasses my body,
and gently caresses me.

My soul is fulfilled,
and I am blessed with serenity.

Why do others fear the dark,
when I find it so beautiful?

Oh, the night is not scary, nor empty;
It is tranquil, cool and inviting.

Black is not a lack of color;
it is a culmination of all colors.

Silence is not a lack of noise;
it is an opportunity to listen.

Open your mind, heart, and soul;
you'll be amazed at what might enter.

I prefer everything to nothing.

DREAMS of DANCING

I dream of the perfect dance moment,
the perfect song, the perfect partner.

Only another dancer understands
the passion, the elation when it works,
the disappointment when it does not.

The precision and synchronicity
required to move two bodies as one,
are a unique blend of physics and art.

Dance is like life, but more like love:
heaven with the right mate,
pure hell with the wrong one.

There are moments frozen in time
when legs, arms, feet and hands,
manage to create astounding beauty.

For all who have inspired me, thank you,
for all who have stepped on me, well...

I have always danced, I always will.
When my body is no more, my spirit will
continue to dance in the moonlight.

I searched my whole life for that perfect partner,
waiting, longing, anticipating, hoping,
and still, I dream...

NIGHT FRIGHTS

The moon is bright;
The night full of frights;
What do you feel like doing tonight?

Would you like to growl?
Do you prefer to prowl?
Perhaps for fun, we'll just howl!

What do you love, just give me a clue-
Darkness and drinking witches brew?

I love the undead,
And blood that is red.
I even love monsters who've lost their heads.

I love witches and mummies, it's true;
Werewolves, vampires and zombies too.
Just be scary and I'll love you.

Want to see a movie, a film, a flick?
Come on answer, tell me quick!
You say sure... as long as its sick.

So please join Night Frights and I'll scare you,
We might even share a laugh or two.

SILENT TEARS

Do they not see my screams?
Do they not hear my tears?
Do others share my pain?

I suffer in silence and smile in agony,
bravely enduring the happiness of life.

Do you understand the weight of darkness,
or the burden of the strong?

Can you relate to the haunting of the exiled girl,
and the beauty of her loneliness?

Do you fear that which you don't understand?
Do you delight in the beauty of death?
Oh, the incredible joy of the final chapter.

Do you see things that are not there?
Do you delight in giving others a scare?

If so, you are just my type...
